President Erdoğan announced Turkey's defense industry projects and goals during the ''Ceremony of the Entry into Service, Flag Hoisting, and First Sheet Cutting of Our Naval Platforms'' held at the Istanbul Shipyard Command.

Inclusive Defense Strategy

Erdoğan emphasized the importance of a holistic approach for an effective defense industry, stating that "Success in defense comes from being strong in the air, at sea, and on land." He highlighted that Turkey is strengthening in all these areas and increasing its capabilities through domestic production.

Export Performance and Goals

In the past year, defense and aerospace exports increased by 30%, reaching 7.4 billion dollars. Erdoğan stated that by 2028, Turkey aims to enter the top 10 globally with a target of 11 billion dollars in exports. He also said, "Turkey is one of the 10 countries in the world that has developed and launched its own warship."

Strong Ecosystem and Human Resources

Pointing out that Turkey's defense industry ecosystem contributes to its growth with over 3,500 firms and more than 100,000 human resources, Erdoğan emphasized that research and development processes are managed with domestic and national resources.

Future Vision

The President stated their belief in the Turkish defense industry, saying, "We reached these figures in a short time. We will not stop."
