Circle Obtains License from Abu Dhabi Global Market

Circle has obtained a Financial Services License from the Abu Dhabi Global Market to operate as a Payment Service Provider in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This license stands out as a significant step for the company's expansion in the Middle East market.

Circle has appointed Dr. Saeeda Jaffar, who previously held an executive role at Visa. This appointment aims to support the growth strategy for digital asset services in the region.

This approval comes following similar licenses granted to other digital asset companies like Binance. The UAE has been moving towards becoming a hub for regulated digital assets in recent years.
