


The trade relations between Turkey and Romania hold strategic importance. Cevdet Yılmaz attended the Romanian National Day Program organized by the Romanian Embassy in Ankara, announcing that they aim to increase the trade volume between the two countries. It was emphasized in the statement that the targeted trade volume is 15 billion dollars.
Yılmaz stated that the relations between Turkey and Romania are built on a long-standing friendship and trust. In this context, it was noted that cooperation between the two countries will continue in various fields such as security, trade, energy, connectivity, culture, and education. Yılmaz emphasized, 'We are demonstrating a strong will and determination in this regard,' highlighting that both sides are eager to achieve this goal.
Especially, Yılmaz pointed out that the cooperation the two countries carry out within the framework of European-Atlantic institutions reinforces the strategic nature of bilateral relations, and that the increase in mutual visits is an indication of the sustained high momentum in political relations. These visits contribute to strengthening mutual trust and friendship.
The development of trade relations between Romania and Turkey will also bring great benefits to the economies of both countries. In this process, especially the increase in public and private sector collaborations will enable the intensification of commercial activities. Yılmaz expressed that they have various plans to further advance this collaboration.
