Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that the industrial production index is an important indicator of growth, announcing that as of August 2025, industrial production has increased by 7.1% year-on-year. The increase in the manufacturing industry is recorded as 7.7%.
Yılmaz, in a social media post, said, "The composition of industrial production in August has occurred in the manner desired by our program. The production of medium-high technology products increased by 19%, while the production of high technology products increased by 8.5%, making them the driving force of industrial production."
Yılmaz expressed that confidence in the economy is increasing every day, stating, "Factors such as balancing growth, improvement in the current account deficit, the increasing confidence in the Turkish Lira, historically high reserves, and declining risk premium are strengthening confidence in the economy, despite the effects of the earthquake and the reduced budget outlook."
Emphasizing that they will resolutely combat inflation in the upcoming period, Yılmaz said, "We will continue to increase societal welfare through the support we provide for production, investment, and exports."
