The distribution of BNB has been announced, and CZ's share is below 1%.

As developments in the cryptocurrency market progress rapidly, a new report on Binance's altcoin BNB presents noteworthy data. According to a report prepared by YZi Labs, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, has now reduced his stake in BNB to below %1. This situation indicates that cryptocurrency projects are moving towards decentralization.

The report states that the total supply of BNB is limited to 100 million and approximately 64 million BNB have been permanently burned. This means that around %31.8 of the total historical supply has been destroyed. A significant portion of the BNB supply is held by independent investors; %66-67 is in exchange wallets and independent wallets, %27 is in the burn reserve of the BNB Foundation, while only %4-5 is held in the Binance treasury.

YZi Labs points out that the balanced distribution of BNB increases institutional confidence and reduces the risk of concentration in a single entity. Additionally, it emphasizes that BNB Chain stands out in metrics such as decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume, active user count, and stablecoin wallet activity.

BNB is positioned as a tool for usage within the exchange as well as for gas fees, staking, and governance on-chain. Especially, the BNB burn model supports value appreciation. Through two separate burn systems called Auto-Burn and BEP-95, the supply is dynamically reduced. Auto-Burn burns tokens on a quarterly basis based on price and network usage, while BEP-95 instantly burns a portion of each transaction fee. This mechanism ensures that the more active the network is, the faster the supply decreases.

YZi Labs states that this burn model will make BNB a scarcer, more stable, and potentially more valuable asset in the long run. Investors should determine their strategies by considering the dynamic structure of BNB and its supply reduction mechanisms.
