BIST 100 Continues to Rise with a Weekly Increase of 3.38%

BIST 100 Index Completed the Week Positively

The BIST 100 index showed significant performance this week, gaining 3.38%. Closing the week at 10,922.86 points, the index reached a low of 10,585.34 points and a high of 11,038.75 points. This situation indicates an increase in investor confidence in the markets and positive economic expectations.

Changes in Gold Prices

The sales price of 24-carat gold bullion traded at the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.89% this week, reaching 5,568 lira. Additionally, the sales price of the republic gold also showed an increase of the same rate, rising to 37,558 lira. The change in the price of quarter gold is noteworthy; the sales price of the quarter gold, which was 9,244 lira last week, increased by 0.90% to 9,327 lira.

Fluctuations in Exchange Rates

There was also movement in exchange rates this week. The US dollar increased by 0.26%, rising to 42.4440 lira, while the euro decreased by 0.74%, falling to 48.9370 lira. This can be evaluated in light of developments in international markets.

Investment Funds and Overall Performance

Investment funds gained 0.47% this week, while pension funds increased by 1.11%. Among investment funds, equity funds were the top performers, gaining 2.07%. This indicates that investors are diversifying their portfolios by turning towards the stock markets.
