


The BIST 100 index showed a significant performance this week, gaining 3.38%. Closing the week at 10,922.86 points, the index reached a low of 10,585.34 points and a high of 11,038.75 points. This situation indicates that investors' confidence in the markets has increased and economic expectations are trending positively.
The selling price of 24-carat gold in the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.89% this week, reaching 5,568 lira. Additionally, the selling price of the republic gold also rose by the same rate, reaching 37,558 lira. The changes in the prices of quarter gold are noteworthy; the selling price of quarter gold, which was 9,244 lira last week, increased by 0.90% to 9,327 lira.
This week, there was also movement in currency rates. The U.S. dollar rose by 0.26% to 42.4440 lira, while the euro decreased by 0.74% to 48.9370 lira. This can be evaluated in light of developments in international markets.
Investment funds gained 0.47% this week, while pension funds rose by 1.11%. Among investment funds, 'equity' funds were the highest gainers, with an increase of 2.07%. This indicates that investors are turning to the stock market to diversify their portfolios.
