


The total size of the funds in the Individual Pension System (IPS) has reached 1 trillion 850 billion 300 million lira, including the participants' fund amount and the state contribution funds. Additionally, together with the state contribution in the Automatic Enrollment System (AES), the total fund size of the two systems has been calculated as 1 trillion 966 billion 883.7 million lira.
The IPS started its operations on October 27, 2003, providing a long-term savings source aimed at preserving individuals' living standards during their retirement periods.
As of October 17, the number of IPS participants has risen to 9 million 982 thousand 691. The fund size of the participants is recorded as 1 trillion 658 billion 146.5 million lira, while the state contribution fund is 192 billion 153.5 million lira. As of this date, the number of individuals who have retired from the system has reached 417 thousand 556.
Last year, the total number of participants in the IPS by the end of 2024 was determined to be 9 million 526 thousand 390, with participant funds amounting to 1 trillion 2 billion 570.3 million lira. In the AES, the funds accumulated by 7 million 575 thousand 311 employees reached 81 billion 724.3 million lira.
Participation in the Individual Pension System for those under 18, which started in June 2021, continues to grow with 1 million 586 thousand 555 participants. The fund size for this group has reached 75 billion 518.2 million lira.
