Energy Cooperation Between Türkiye and China

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced on social media that they held an important meeting with Chinese Dongfang Electric Corporation in the field of wind energy.

2035 Targets and Investment Plans

Bayraktar emphasized that Türkiye has an installed power target of 120,000 megawatts in the solar and wind energy sector by 2035. The Minister stated that the country aims to increase its turbine and panel production capacity, adding the following:

$250 Million Investment

"During our meeting with Dongfang, we put a concrete project on the agenda to achieve this goal. We evaluated the Chinese company's plan to establish a wind turbine production facility in Türkiye with an annual capacity of 2,000 megawatts, with an initial investment of approximately $250 million."
