The Ministry has increased the amount of support for private theaters!

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism made an important decision regarding the financial support for private theaters. It announced an increase in the support amount to 97 million 216 thousand liras, with an increase of 49.56% compared to the previous season. This increase is recorded as the highest support ever provided to private theaters.

The evaluation process for private theater applications for the 2025-2026 art season has been completed. In this context, a total of 434 private theater applications were reported. However, 34 theaters that did not complete the necessary documents on time are excluded, and 400 applications were taken into the review phase. According to ministry officials, most of the applications are expected to result positively and qualify for support.

The increase in support has generated great excitement in the theater world. It will allow theater artists and producers to carry out their projects in a stronger economic and artistic sense. Thus, private theaters aim to reach their audiences with higher quality and more innovative projects.
