Minister Bolat Gave Good News of New Financial Support to Exporters

The Minister of Trade Bolat announced via his social media account that significant steps have been taken to expand exporters' access to financing. Minister Bolat stated that the daily limit of rediscount credits has been increased and the cost of these credits has been reduced. With these new regulations, it is aimed that exporters' financial burdens will be alleviated and costs will become more sustainable.

In his statement, the Minister said, "New regulations have been implemented in rediscount credits to increase our exporters' ability to access financing and reduce their costs." In this context, it was reported that the interest cost within the rediscount credits has decreased to 24.89%. He emphasized that these changes are part of systematic efforts to facilitate exporters' access to financing.

TCMB (Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey) by providing rediscount credits in collaboration with Turkish Eximbank and other banks, plays a significant role in meeting the financing needs of exporters. Bolat stated that the volume of rediscount credits has been gradually increased, saying, "These types of credits are among the most effective tools for meeting our exporters' financing needs."

With the recent regulation, the rediscount credit limit for exporters has been raised to 4.5 billion TL. This increase is considered a critical step for reaching a wide range of exporters and ensuring more effective provision of financing. Bolat explained that rediscount credits are calculated through a specific formula and are provided below the Central Bank policy interest rate, making it possible to offer them to exporters under more favorable conditions.

Following the interest rate cut implemented on October 23, 2025, the reduction of the interest cost of rediscount credits to 24.89% presents an important opportunity for exporters to lower their costs. Minister Bolat also added that the volume of these credits will be gradually increased according to needs to reach more exporters.
