


The first meeting to determine the minimum wage to be implemented in 2026 started at 2:00 PM at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, TÜRK-İŞ Deputy President Ramazan Ağar, and President of the Turkish Employers' Confederation (TİSK) Özgür Burak Akkol.
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of representatives from labor, employers, and the government, plays a critical role in determining the minimum wage. Minister Işıkhan emphasized the importance of listening to the parties' thoughts during the meeting.
Minister Işıkhan stated that the perspectives and assessments of both sides are crucial for the Commission's work. He also highlighted the need to strengthen social dialogue and consultation mechanisms.
Işıkhan expressed that they listened to the unions' expectations regarding the minimum wage, saying, "As the Ministry, we will continue our work based on social dialogue. We will complete the process openly to social dialogue within the functioning of the Commission."
