Arena Bilgisayar announced that it has transferred its device distribution contract with Vodafone to Datagate Bilgisayar. This strategic step is seen as an effort to reduce the company's operational burden and generate financial resources. Arena has transferred the mentioned contract for 8 million dollars, excluding VAT.
The company's financial year runs from April 1 to March 31. According to Arena's latest announced six-month financial data, its revenue has increased by 20%. However, due to high expenses, it was reported that it recorded an operating loss of 38.5 million TL. High financing expenses have drawn attention, increasing the net loss for the period to 711.6 million TL.
Arena stated that it will direct the revenue obtained from the contract transfer to high value-added business areas such as robotic automation and artificial intelligence. In this way, it plans to shift away from low-margin device distribution and focus on technology investments with higher return potential.
