A recall decision was made for Doğuş Form teas sold in Germany. This decision was issued by the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety, which is affiliated with the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

The recalled products include varieties such as "Herbal Blend (Kruter)", "Apricot (Aprikose)", "Sour Cherry (Kirsche)", and "Parsley-Lemon (Petersilie und Zitrone)", distributed by the Cologne-based ÖZ-BA company. A prohibited substance called danthron was detected in these products.

Authorities stated that danthron is a genotoxic substance that can damage genetic material and poses a carcinogenic risk to human health. This situation presents a serious threat to consumers.

Following this recall process in Germany, the distributing company ÖZ-BA informed consumers that they should either return the teas or dispose of the products. Such situations are of great importance for public health and highlight the necessity of being cautious regarding product safety.

Developments like this in the tea sector attract more consumer attention and raise questions about product reliability. The release of such products by major brands like Doğuş Form may undermine consumer trust and affect market dynamics.

Moreover, this incident once again underscores the importance of food safety inspections. In countries like Germany, it is essential to tighten inspections on food products and develop more effective methods for detecting banned substances. The health of consumers must always be the top priority, and such recalls require careful monitoring.
