Fluctuations in Global Markets Continue

Fuel prices are on the rise again due to fluctuations in global markets, the increase in the exchange rate, and consecutive excise tax hikes. Particularly, the rise in brent oil prices directly affects the prices of energy products such as diesel and gasoline at the pump.

Expected Increase in Diesel Prices

Following the record increase of over 3 TL last week, a rise of 2.07 TL in the diesel price per liter is expected to take effect from midnight tonight. Experts state that this increase will affect fuel costs, putting pressure on drivers. With the new prices visible at the pump, consumer reactions are eagerly awaited.

High Prices in Istanbul

Fuel prices continue to burn pockets in Istanbul. In the European side, the price of gasoline is at 53.64 TL, while diesel has reached 55.47 TL. LPG is trading at 27.71 TL. In the Anatolian side, the price of gasoline is 53.47 TL, diesel is 55.33 TL, and LPG has decreased to 27.08 TL.

Situation in Ankara and Izmir

In the capital Ankara, the price of gasoline is 54.50 TL and the diesel price is 56.50 TL. LPG is recorded at 27.60 TL. In Izmir, fuel prices are 54.84 TL for gasoline, 56.77 TL for diesel, and 27.82 TL for LPG. The slightly higher prices in these cities compared to Istanbul are attributed to local authorities' taxation policies and transportation costs.

New Hike Will Apply from Midnight

The expected increase of 2.07 TL in diesel prices will begin to be applied at the pump from midnight tonight. No changes are currently expected in gasoline and LPG prices. Consumers are contemplating how these price changes will affect their fuel purchases.
