


According to Xinhua, Airbus has opened the second assembly line at its Final Assembly Line Asia (FALA) facility in China with a ceremony.
Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury stated at the opening that the new assembly line will carry out the assembly of major components such as the airframe and wings of A320 aircraft, as well as painting and testing of these aircraft. The planes will be delivered to customers in China and other countries.
Faury provided information that the new line will double A320 assembly capacity, indicating that they aim to assemble 75 aircraft per month at the facility by 2027.
Airbus has a total of 10 final assembly lines for the A320 series worldwide. Of these, 4 are in Germany, 2 in France, 2 in the USA, and 2 in China. Moreover, the company’s facility in Tianjin has been operational since 2008.
