The white goods industry is going through a challenging period in both domestic and international markets during the first eight months of 2025. According to TÜRKBESD data, pressure on exports continues in foreign markets, while the market share of Far Eastern competitors continues to grow. Meanwhile, in the domestic market, demand contraction and loss of value persist.
Data for the January–August period of 2025 indicates that domestic sales reached 6.7 million units with a 7 percent decrease, and exports also declined by 7 percent to 13.4 million units. Production, on the other hand, fell by 9 percent to 19.6 million units. Total sales volume decreased by 7 percent, amounting to 20.1 million units in total.
As of August, despite a limited increase of 6 percent in the domestic market, exports saw a 12 percent decrease and production fell by 11 percent. Total sales decreased by 7 percent to 2.4 million units.
