January-August 2025 data in the white goods sector indicates that export pressure in foreign markets continues and that Far Eastern players continue to gain market share. Meanwhile, in the domestic market, demand contraction and depreciation continue.
According to TÜRKBESD data, during the January–August period, domestic sales decreased by 7% to 6.7 million units, exports declined by 7% to 13.4 million units, and production decreased by 9% to 19.6 million units.
The overall sales volume, comprising domestic sales and exports, decreased by 7% to 20.1 million units. Although a limited 6% increase was observed in the domestic market in August, exports saw a 12% decrease and production an 11% decrease. Total sales in August decreased by 7% to 2.4 million units.
