The crypto world has been shaken by a recent scam. A crypto user lost 50 million dollars due to an 'address poisoning' scam. The scammer created an address that resembled the wallet address that the user intended to send funds to.

The tactic employed by the scammer was to send a small 'dust' amount of cryptocurrency to the victim's transaction history. This led the victim to copy the scammer's address and send 49,999,950 USDT (Tether) worth of funds.

The victim published an on-chain message demanding the return of 98% of the lost funds within 48 hours. Additionally, the scammed individual offered a 1 million dollar bounty for information and threatened to initiate legal action if the funds were not returned.
