The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) shared the income distribution statistics for the year 2025 with the public. According to the data, the largest portion of total income in Turkey is made up of 49.7% from wage and salary incomes. This rate has increased by 0.9 points compared to the previous year.
In terms of entrepreneurial incomes, the highest share was taken by 18.3% from entrepreneurial income, indicating a 2.5-point decrease compared to the previous year. Social transfer incomes ranked third with 18.2%. However, the agriculture sector held the lowest share of 2.8% in entrepreneurial incomes; this means that entrepreneurial income in agriculture has decreased by 0.6 points compared to the previous year.
The share of the agriculture sector within entrepreneurial income remained limited at 15.6%, while pensions and widow-orphan allowances accounted for 89.3% of the social transfers.
As of 2025, the sectoral analysis found the annual average income in the agriculture sector to be 237,461 TL. This figure remains below the 2025 minimum wage level. On the other hand, the highest annual average income in the service sector was recorded as 426,045 TL.
Compared to the previous year, the highest annual average income increase was observed in the construction sector at 79.0%, followed by the service sector with a 75.8% increase. In the agriculture sector, however, only a 54.4% increase was recorded. This situation indicates that the income level in the agriculture sector remains weaker compared to other sectors.
