Excitement of World Branding Awards in Osaka

Osaka, Japan - November 17, 2025 - The 20th World Branding Awards celebrated the achievements of leading brands in National, Regional, and Global categories. In the 2025-2026 edition, over 1,092 brands from 66 countries were nominated for 'Brand of the Year.' From this distinguished list, fewer than 100 brands emerged victorious, representing excellence standards across three recognition tiers.

This year, the World Branding Awards Ceremony moved beyond London to the Osaka Museum of Fine Arts. Over 80 international guests attended this celebration hosted by Allie Sakakibara; the event was enriched by a talk on interactive brand experiences by Miho Noguchi.

Among the global winners from various sectors were Heinz (United Kingdom), IKEA (Sweden), Lurpak (Denmark), Marriott International (United Kingdom), Nike (USA), and Yakult (Japan).

Winning brands from Hong Kong included Airland, Chow Tai Fook, Homeless, Lee Kum Kee, Midland Realty, and Tsui Wah. Other national level winners included Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan), Farm Fresh (Malaysia), FERN-D (Philippines), Flimty (Indonesia), Getha (Malaysia), Kopi Kenangan (Indonesia), KOI Thé (Singapore), Octopus Energy (United Kingdom), and Royal Umbrella (Thailand).

Only 20 brands won the Regional Level award, recognized for their impact across three or more regional markets in four or more countries: Amarula (South Africa), M-150 (Thailand), MR DIY (Malaysia), Nippon Rent-A-Car (Japan), Tsui Wah (Hong Kong), Vitaday (Thailand), and Watsons (Malaysia) were among them.

The Chairman of the World Branding Awards, Richard Rowles, stated, "The World Branding Awards focus on the constant effort, vision, and emotional resonance behind success. Each brand is honored on an international platform, recognized not only for what they sell but for what they represent."

This year, over 91,000 consumers participated in the nomination process worldwide. On average, there are only five winning brands in each country, demonstrating that winning a World Branding Award is a remarkable achievement.
