ZKsync winks at big institutions with its 2026 roadmap.

The Ethereum Layer 2 solution ZKsync has updated its 2026 roadmap, aiming for direct integration with banks, funds, and large institutions. The project seeks to go beyond the crypto world and develop systems that work integrated with real-world infrastructure. The company behind ZKsync, Matter Labs, has created an innovative growth plan, particularly considering the needs of institutional actors.

Matter Labs CEO Alex Gluchowski has identified four "essential" standards that ZKsync products must adhere to in the roadmap. These standards are defined as default privacy, deterministic control, verifiable risk management, and integrated connections to global markets. The implementation of these criteria strengthens ZKsync's institutional use, presenting significant opportunities for investors.

At the core of the roadmap is Prividium, which aims to directly integrate privacy into the business processes of institutions such as banks and asset managers. It is emphasized that Prividium will work compatibly with existing financial software in areas such as access management, transaction approval workflows, reporting, and auditing. Gluchowski notes that this structure is a critical gateway for corporate adoption.

The ZK Stack product is expected to provide a comprehensive infrastructure for those looking to create application-specific blockchains. Under this structure, access to liquidity, execution layers, and cross-chain services will be simplified. Additionally, Airbender aims to establish a universal standard for zero-knowledge virtual machines. Gluchowski states that the biggest barrier to corporate crypto adoption is not regulation, but inadequate infrastructure.

By 2026, ZKsync is expected to host production-level systems serving millions of end-users. These developments present significant opportunities for investors while creating critical points to watch.
