Ziraat Participation, which stands out as Turkey's first public participation financial institution, has taken an important step towards the public offering process. The Bank applied to the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and officially started the process to transition to the registered capital system and to bring its articles of association into compliance with the capital markets legislation.
Ziraat Participation General Manager Metin Özdemir said, "As Ziraat Participation, we have taken the first step of the public offering process, which we believe will contribute to our future goals. Inspired by our Ziraat brand's history and know-how of more than 160 years, we have reached 219 branches in Turkey in just 10 years and we have achieved the success of being the first Turkish bank to open branches in countries such as Sudan and Somalia in Africa. With this step, we aim to further consolidate Ziraat Participation's strong equity structure and support our sustainable growth."
