Russia's New Year's Eve Attack

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, made striking statements regarding the recent attack carried out by the Russian army against his country. Zelensky announced that more than 200 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were launched into Ukraine's airspace on New Year's Eve.

Zelensky stated on his official social media account that Russia's intentions to continue war and attacks were clearly outlined. "Russia aims to continue the war in the new year. This night, more than 200 attack UAVs were launched at Ukraine," he said, drawing attention.

Air Defense Must Be Strengthened

Additionally, Zelensky called for support from allied countries to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capacity, warning that "if attacks do not even stop during the New Year holidays, the delivery of air defense equipment must not be delayed."

Response to UAV Threat

Zelensky noted that the vast majority of the UAVs launched by the Russian army were neutralized by the Ukrainian air defense forces.
