


The Venezuelan government officially announced that dialogue channels have been opened for the re-establishment of diplomatic relations with the United States of America. In a statement on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the commitment of the Bolivarian government to peace diplomacy was emphasized.
The statement expressed Venezuela's intention to engage in dialogue with the USA for the purpose of re-establishing diplomatic relations in both countries. Points regarding lives lost as a result of military interventions and violations of international law were addressed. The government reiterated its determination to act through diplomatic means, stating: "Venezuela will fight against this aggression through diplomatic means. Because Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy is believed to be a legitimate way to restore international law and maintain peace."
Additionally, it was shared that a diplomatic delegation from the US Department of State has arrived in Venezuela to conduct technical and logistical assessments. Similarly, it was stated that a diplomatic delegation from Venezuela would also be sent to the USA. This process aims to address the consequences of the attacks against the President and his wife.
The US Embassy located in the Baruta district of Caracas has remained closed since diplomatic relations were suspended in 2019. The US Department of State announced that they are visiting the country to assess the possibility of reopening the embassy that was closed in Venezuela. These developments are considered an important step in restructuring the relations between the two countries.
