The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement highlighting the Bolivarian government's strong commitment to peace diplomacy.

Dialogue Channels Reopened

The statement expressed that the Venezuelan government has reopened dialogue channels to re-establish diplomatic relations with the USA.

Developments Following Military Intervention

It was noted that many patriots lost their lives as a result of the USA's military intervention, which violated international law, emphasizing that "Venezuela will fight against this attack through diplomatic means." They stated that they believe Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy is a legitimate way to defend sovereignty and restore international law.

Mutual Diplomatic Delegations

The statement also reported that a diplomatic delegation from the USA's Department of State has reached Venezuela for technical and logistical assessments, as well as the sending of a diplomatic delegation from Venezuela to the USA.

Embassy Status

The US Embassy in the capital Caracas has been closed and concrete since the withdrawal of diplomats in 2019. The US Department of State sent a delegation to Caracas to evaluate the possibility of reopening the embassy.
