A $3.9 million security vulnerability in Unleash Protocol

Unleash Protocol reportedly lost approximately 3.9 million dollars according to the blockchain security firm PeckShield. The incident occurred as a result of a security breach on the platform. The root cause of the breach is attributed to a failure in the management of Unleash.

This situation provided the attacker with unauthorized control and the ability to withdraw assets. After transferring the stolen assets through the Ethereum network, the attacker used Tornado Cash to obscure the transaction history, making the transactions less visible.
