$3.9 million security vulnerability in Unleash Protocol

Unleash Protocol, a blockchain security firm according to PeckShield, lost approximately 3.9 million dollars. The incident occurred as a result of a security breach on the platform. The fundamental cause of the breach is attributed to a failure in Unleash management.

This situation provided the attacker with unauthorized control and the ability to withdraw assets. After transferring the stolen assets through the Ethereum network, the attacker used Tornado Cash to obscure the transaction history. This way, the transactions became less visible.
