Turkey's tourism revenue increased by 3.9%.

In the third quarter of 2023, covering the months of July, August, and September, the country's tourism revenue increased by %3.9 compared to the previous year. With a total revenue of 24 billion 257 million 815 thousand dollars, this quarter is seen as a hopeful sign for the country's economy.

The total tourism revenue generated from visitors has been recorded as 24 billion 46 million 779 thousand dollars. In addition, the revenue from transfer travelers has been determined to be 211 million 37 thousand dollars. This situation demonstrates that Turkey continues to be an attractive destination for both holiday and cultural trips.

Considering that a significant portion of the tourism revenue from abroad is constituted by Turkish citizens residing abroad, it is evident that 16.1% of the total tourism revenue comes from this group. Especially during the summer months, this figure shows the increasing tourism potential in Turkey.

Visitors typically organize their travels according to personal preferences, and during this quarter, visitors spent a large portion of their expenditures on personal expenses. A total of 15 billion 975 million 385 thousand dollars of expenditures consisted of personal spending, while the expenditure for package tours was determined to be 8 billion 71 million 394 thousand dollars. These figures reflect the diversity of Turkey's tourism sector and the conscious consumer behavior.

Furthermore, a %1.9 increase in the number of visitors coming to Turkey was observed in the third quarter. This situation shows that the country's tourism infrastructure and service quality are appreciated by visitors.
