Record Increase in Organized Industrial Zones: 416

The President of the Association of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), Memiş Kütükcü, stated that the organized industrial zones (OSBs) exemplify a model of planned industrialization implemented across Turkey's 81 provinces.

Empowering Turkey with 2025 Goals

Kütükcü emphasized that OSBs will not abandon their goal of boosting the country’s economy through production by 2025, stating, "Our electricity consumption has increased by 2.91% compared to 2024. By December 2025, this growth rate is expected to reach 6.9% compared to 2024."

Contribution of Renewable Energy and Infrastructure

Kütükcü noted the significant contribution of OSBs to energy infrastructure, highlighting that renewable energy capacity is projected to increase by 47% by 2025, reaching 5,086 megawatts. He also mentioned that solar power plants hold a capacity of 4,616 megawatts. These plants represent 7% of Turkey's total electricity generation capacity and 21% of the unlicensed solar power generation capacity.

Establishment of New OSBs

As of 2025, a total of 7 new OSBs have been established across Turkey, located in the cities of Ankara, Batman, Çorum, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Samsun, and Yozgat. Consequently, the total number of OSBs in Turkey has reached 416. The number of factories in OSBs has surpassed 68,000, providing employment for a total of 2,700,000 people by 2025.

Historic Momentum in Vocational Education

Emphasizing the importance of vocational and technical education, Kütükcü stated that by 2025, the number of students receiving vocational training in OSBs has broken a record by exceeding 100,000 for the first time. The number of students enrolled in vocational training programs in OSBs has increased to 114,653 compared to 2024. This increase marks a critical step in fostering young people's interest in vocational education, contributing to the country's future in production.
