Türk-İş Confederation regularly conducts monthly research to examine the living conditions of workers and analyze the impact of price changes in basic necessities on household budgets. The results for December 2025 have been published.

Poverty Line and Household Budget

The monthly food expenditure for a four-person family, known as the poverty line, has been determined to be 30,143 TL. This figure highlights the struggle that working families are facing.

Poverty Line and Essential Expenses

The poverty line includes not only food expenses but also essential monthly expenditures such as clothing, housing (rent, electricity, water, fuel), transportation, education, and health. According to the calculations made in this regard, the total amount required for necessary expenditures is calculated to be 98,188 TL.
