


Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Labor Cost Statistics for 2024. According to the data, the average monthly labor cost in 2024 is recorded as 45,777 TL.
According to TÜİK data, the financial and insurance activities sector leads in terms of monthly labor cost, with an average of 119,868 TL. This is followed by the information and communication sector (average 94,096 TL) and the education sector (average 67,397 TL). However, the construction sector has the lowest labor cost, with an average of only 26,047 TL.
While the gross monthly earnings for employees not covered by a collective labor agreement is recorded as 35,821 TL, the gross monthly earnings for those under a collective labor agreement is 68,730 TL. This indicates that the earnings for employees covered by collective agreements are %92 higher.

Regular payments made for periods worked constitute the largest share of earnings components with %78.4, while irregular payments account for %9.9, payments for non-working periods account for %8.6, and in-kind payments make up %2.7. Contributions to savings funds have a share of %0.4.
Within social security payments, mandatory payments lead with an rate of %84.3, while voluntary social security payments account for %0.7. Severance and notice pay are stated as %15.0.
