


Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Labor Cost Statistics for the year 2024. According to the data, the average monthly labor cost in 2024 has reached 45,777 TL.
According to TÜİK data, the financial and insurance activities sector ranks first in terms of average monthly labor cost, which is determined to be 119,868 TL. This is followed by the information and communication sector (average 94,096 TL) and the education sector (average 67,397 TL). However, the construction sector has the lowest labor cost, averaging only 26,047 TL.
The gross monthly earnings of employees outside of collective bargaining agreements are recorded as 35,821 TL, while the gross monthly earnings of those covered by collective bargaining agreements have reached 68,730 TL. This indicates that employees working under collective bargaining agreements earn 92% more.

Regular payments made for hours worked account for the largest share of the earnings components at %78.4, while the share of irregular payments is %9.9, payments for hours not worked account for %8.6, and in-kind payments are %2.7. The share of payments made to savings funds is %0.4.
Within social security payments, mandatory payments hold the leading position with a share of %84.3, while voluntary social security payments amount to %0.7. Severance and notice pay are recorded at %15.0.
