


Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has announced the Labor Cost Statistics for the year 2024. According to the data, the average monthly labor cost in 2024 was recorded as 45,777 TL.
According to TUIK data, the financial and insurance activities sector is in the leading position in terms of monthly labor costs, with an average of 119,868 TL. This is followed by the information and communication sector (average 94,096 TL) and the education sector (average 67,397 TL). However, the construction sector has the lowest labor cost, with an average of only 26,047 TL.
The gross monthly earnings of employees outside of collective labor agreements were recorded as 35,821 TL, while the gross monthly earnings of employees covered by collective labor agreements were 68,730 TL. This shows that workers under collective labor agreements earn %92 more.
Within labor costs:
- Share of gross earnings: %85.7
- Share of social security payments: %13.9
- Share of other payments: %0.4 has been determined.
Regular payments made for worked durations account for the largest share of earnings components at %78.4, while the share of irregular payments is %9.9, payments made for non-worked durations account for %8.6, and in-kind payments are %2.7. Contributions to savings funds account for %0.4.
Within social security payments, mandatory payments hold the leading position with a rate of %84.3, while voluntary social security payments account for %0.7. Severance and notice compensation payments are indicated at %15.0.
