TSE is establishing standards for Artificial Intelligence.

The Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) will celebrate World Standards Day on October 14 for the first time in Ankara this year. This special day is designed to emphasize the trust, quality, and importance of standards in sustainable development. TSE General Manager Şahin highlighted the international significance of World Standards Day in a statement regarding the event.

The idea of World Standards Day originated under Turkey's leadership. The then-president of TSE, Faruk Sünter, submitted a proposal to the International Standards Organization (ISO Council) to initiate this celebration. Following the acceptance of the proposal, this meaningful day has been celebrated worldwide since 1970. Thus, this day represents both a historical memory for TSE and its pioneering role in the international arena.

This year's event will also prominently feature the establishment of standards related to artificial intelligence technologies. TSE aims to create necessary safety and ethical standards in this rapidly developing area, enabling stakeholders in the sector and end-users to act with confidence while benefiting from artificial intelligence applications.

TSE's initiative is considered an important development not only in Turkey but also globally. The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence in various fields has brought about different challenges. Therefore, the establishment of standards is crucial not only for technological advancements but also for the public good.
