


US President Donald Trump, in a statement made via social media, said, "Iran will be met with US assistance if it targets peaceful protesters. Our weapons and troops are ready!"
Protests continuing in Iran due to high inflation and economic difficulties are escalating nationwide. In the incident that occurred in the town of Azna, located in the Lorestan province, 3 more people have died, increasing the total death toll to 4. A total of 17 individuals involved in the events have also been injured.
According to the Fars News Agency, as protesters entered police stations, the situation spiraled out of control and clashes broke out. Protesters threw stones at police teams while some police vehicles were set on fire.
In the protests that took place in the Melard city of Tehran province, 30 people were detained. Melard Deputy District Governor Mansur Saleki announced that these individuals were detained for disrupting security and public order.
Saleki stated that some of those detained came from surrounding districts and that the legal processes for the suspects are ongoing.
In a statement made by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was reported that a security officer named Emir Hussein Hodayariferd lost his life during the ongoing protests. The statement said, "One of our security forces has lost his life due to actions of violent elements linked to enemy groups."
