Trump's Approval for Japan's F-35 and Emphasis on New Relationship

U.S. President Donald Trump visited the Yokosuka Naval Base near Tokyo with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. While addressing U.S. military personnel on the USS George Washington aircraft carrier, Trump shared key accomplishments since taking office. He called Takaichi to the stage, stating, "This woman is a winner. Today, both Japan’s and the United States’ stock markets are at all-time highs. This is a sign that we are on the right track."

Strong Alliance with Japan and Missile Approval

Trump noted that the alliance between the U.S. and Japan is "one of the most extraordinary relationships in the world." He also expressed respect for Japan's new and historic first female prime minister. Trump stated that the relationship provides a solid foundation for long-term collaboration and said, "I just approved the first batch of missiles ordered by Turkey." He announced that the first batch of missiles for Japan's F-35 jets is on its way this week.

Japan's Investments and Economic Relations

Trump thanked Japan for its significant investments in the U.S. economy, stating, "Japan is a very large investor, and we are pleased with this. The stock market is rising beautifully." He also mentioned that Toyota has promised to open new car factories with a total investment of 10 billion dollars across the U.S. He drew attention with his call, "Go buy a Toyota."

In his speech, President Trump also recalled that the U.S. has secured many artificial intelligence investments, saying, "Thanks to tariffs, we are making trillions of dollars." At the end of his speech, Trump saluted the U.S. military personnel and danced to music.
