Striking Statement from Toyota

Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:TM), the world's largest automobile manufacturer, denied claims of making a $10 billion new investment in the United States following a meeting between President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Hiroyuki Ueda, a senior executive at Toyota, stated that the company "did not specifically say" anything regarding this matter.

Ueda explained that the figure of approximately $10 billion was relevant during Trump’s first administration.

During a speech to U.S. troops on the USS George Washington in Japan, Trump called for "buying Toyota" and indicated that such an investment could be possible with the opening of car factories nationwide.

Toyota also announced its production and sales figures for September. The company reported an 11.1% increase in production in September, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth attributed to strong demand. Toyota sold 185,748 vehicles in the U.S. in September, following a report of eight consecutive months of growth in August.
