According to a written statement made by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the new period of the Nefes Credit program, created in cooperation with the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF) and various banks, will begin on October 2, 2023.
Through this support program, SMEs that are members of all chambers and commodity exchanges affiliated with TOBB will be able to obtain financing under favorable conditions. Applications can be made through branches of Halkbank, Vakıfbank, Ziraat Bankası, Denizbank, Garanti Bankası, Akbank, and Ziraat Katılım.
Each company is entitled to use a maximum of 1.5 million lira in credit. The credits will be offered with a 6-month principal payment grace period and a maximum maturity of 36 months. The credit interest rate is set at 33 percent for up to 24 months, and 32 percent for over 24 months. The total credit volume is estimated to be 25 billion lira.
With the TOBB Nefes Credit provided in July 2023, 23,515 companies received a total of 30 billion lira in support.
TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that one of the biggest problems for SMEs is access to finance. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "In this difficult period, we have created a resource that will truly be a 'breath of fresh air' to protect the cash flow of our SMEs. The aim is to ensure that the wheels keep turning by standing by our SMEs in difficult times. In this context, TOBB, KGF, and banks have established a strong cooperation. I thank all our partners."
