China has enacted a registration requirement that will come into effect in April 2024, mandating that producer AI services obtain government approval before they can be used. Tesla's voice assistant offered in China is equipped with AI models developed by DeepSeek and ByteDance. Mercedes-Benz's Strategy

Mercedes-Benz will implement its own virtual assistant based on Douyin's Skylark AI technology in its new fully electric CLA model in China.
