Investors are also worried about what will happen at the Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for December. However, investors are now seeing the probability of the central bank lowering interest rates by 25 basis points at over 70 percent. According to Rathbun, "Clearly, the market's forecasts for a rate cut in December have increased from 40 percent to 70 percent. This situation shows how volatile investors' predictions are as well," she said.
