The UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) has launched an investigation into a cyber attack targeting Collins Aerospace, a US-based provider of boarding systems to airports. The incident took place on September 19 and caused major disruptions at major European airports.

The effects of the cyber-attack continued until September 20 at airports in major cities such as Brussels, Berlin and London. Flights were significantly disrupted, particularly at Heathrow Airport and other European airports.

In a joint operation between the NCA and Thames Valley Police, a male in his 40s was arrested on charges under the Computer Misuse Act. The suspect was released on judicial control conditions. Paul Foster, Deputy Director of the NCA's National Cybercrime Unit, emphasized that the investigation of the incident is still in its early stages and stated that the attacks caused serious disruptions in UK.

Consequences of the Attack
