Rumble has made a bold move in the crypto wallet realm. The company has announced the launch of Rumble Wallet, a wallet integrated into its video streaming platform. This innovation allows viewers to tip content creators using digital assets without the need for traditional payment methods.
Rumble Wallet is designed to support cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Tether (USDT), and Tether Gold (XAUT). The wallet enables direct payments to content creators, aiming to reduce reliance on centralized platforms. By allowing users to store their funds in their own wallets, it offers a more liberated economic model for paid content.
Through MoonPay, the wallet's deposits and withdrawals are integrated with traditional payment options such as credit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. This makes transactions easier for users and accelerates the transition process to the crypto ecosystem.
Rumble's CEO Chris Pavlovski states that the new wallet supports the company’s mission of freedom of expression. It aims to initiate a new era in the digital content economy by providing users and content creators greater control over funding processes on the platform.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino emphasized that this wallet represents a significant step in promoting decentralized payment systems. Rumble Wallet was built using Tether's wallet development kit and is notable for being a first in the integration of cryptocurrency-based payment systems into content platforms.
