Oil prices have increased significantly in recent days. US President Donald Trump has developed a harsh rhetoric against Russia. Prices continue to rise as investors carefully monitor possible supply cuts from OPEC+ member countries.
Brent oil gained 1.6 percent on Tuesday, heading towards $68 per barrel. US crude is trading around $64. Trump emphasized the need for NATO countries to shoot down Russian planes and took a more optimistic approach to Ukraine.
Trump told the United Nations General Assembly that "China and India are the main financiers of this war by continuing to buy Russian oil. But even NATO countries have not imposed enough restrictions on Russian energy products," he said.
On the other hand, Russia is considering restrictions on diesel exports for some companies following attacks by Ukrainian drones. This suggests that energy prices could rise further.
