Perrone Robotics, Inc. and Perrone Robotics Innovations, LLC announced on November 26, 2025, that they have filed patent infringement lawsuits against seven major automotive manufacturers - Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, and Nissan. The lawsuits have been filed in the Eastern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Virginia courts in the United States.

The complaint alleges that the general-purpose robotic operating systems and applications integrated with automated driving systems have been used without permission from Perrone Robotics.
