Papara responded to allegations that money flow to illegal betting sites continued after being appointed as a trustee by Turkey's Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).

Suspicious Accounts are Regularly Informed

In a written statement, it was expressed that suspicious accounts are continuously shared with the relevant authorities and that all necessary technical and administrative measures to combat illegal betting are meticulously implemented. The company stated that it operates within the framework of regulations such as Law No. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems and Law No. 5549 on Prevention of the Laundering of Proceeds of Crime.

Management Change and Investigations

In its statement, Papara noted that a new board of directors was formed following the appointment of TMSF as a trustee under the illegal betting investigation carried out by the İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was also emphasized that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) imposed temporary limits on the company's transactions during this process.

Cooperation with Financial Crimes Investigation Board

Papara announced that the new management applied temporary blocks on suspicious accounts in cooperation with the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK). As a result of the investigations, accounts related to illegal betting were reported to MASAK, and the transaction limits of other users were lifted.

The company stated that it operates under a strict audit and control mechanism and is committed to fighting against illegal activities with great determination.
