Pantone, as a global color authority, is bringing a breath of fresh air to the design world by collaborating with Microsoft. Introduced on November 5, 2025, the Pantone Palette Generator utilizes Microsoft Azure OpenAI technology to accelerate designers' creative processes.

Integrated to simplify designers' color selection processes, the Pantone Palette Generator is accessible to users through the Pantone Connect platform. With this innovative tool, users can create color palettes from Pantone's vast color library in seconds. Data obtained from the Pantone Color Institute helps users speed up their research and inspiration stages.

Pantone President Sky Kelley stated that for over 60 years they have been helping designers make critical decisions regarding color, and with this partnership, they aim to accelerate the exploration phase of the design process. The Pantone Palette Generator provides instant color palettes based on user input, enabling users to work faster while drawing inspiration.

Microsoft Vice President of Global Industry Marketing Kathleen Mitford emphasized that through this collaboration, artificial intelligence can enhance creativity and efficiency while speeding up design processes. With the color data provided by Pantone, users will have the opportunity to create palettes reflecting various social trends.

The Pantone Palette Generator is currently available for users of Pantone Connect. Palettes facilitate designers' workflows, support collaborative design efforts, and save time. Additionally, palettes created by users can be directly added to the platform and analyzed and shared quickly.

Pantone also plans to offer users the opportunity to create palettes around the 2026 Pantone Color of the Year and past colors. Continuing to develop new digital products aimed at transforming designers' workflows, Pantone will keep adding new features based on user feedback.
