NATO is Accelerating the Digital Modernization Process with Google Cloud.

Brussels and Sunnyvale, California, November 24, 2025 - Google Cloud has signed a significant multi-million dollar contract with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), committing to provide high-security sovereign cloud capabilities. This strategic partnership represents a major step towards enhancing NATO's digital infrastructure, strengthening data management, and securely leveraging the latest cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities.

NCIA has chosen Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) solutions for the Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Center (JATEC). By utilizing this infrastructure, JATEC will modernize its operational capabilities and manage sensitive data workloads.

GDC air-gapped, as a key component of Google's Sovereign Cloud solutions, brings robust cloud services and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to fully disconnected, highly secure environments. This enables organizations to run modern AI and analytical workloads on their most valuable data, yielding significant insights. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to maintain operational control and comply with the strictest digital sovereignty requirements.

The use of this technology ensures that NATO's data remains within a specific region while maintaining operational control, achieving the highest levels of security and autonomy at all scales.
