Significant Increase in Number of Investors in 2025

The Central Registration Agency (MKK) announced the developments in the capital markets for the year 2025 through its social media platforms. Accordingly, while the total market value of securities was 20.70 trillion lira on January 31, 2024, this figure rose to 28.96 trillion lira by December 31, 2025.

Growth in Number of Investors

During this period, the total number of registered investors increased from 36.21 million to 37.94 million. This community, which includes 10.64 million investors with balances, clearly demonstrates the interest in the markets.

New Investors and Demographics

As of the end of 2025, the number of new investors who obtained an MKK registration number was calculated to be 1 million 848 thousand 783. Among these new investors, the number of individual men aged 21-40 was recorded as 614 thousand 197, while 347 thousand 108 women investors were also included in the same age group.

Account and Public Offering Data

By the end of 2025, the total number of accounts reached 90.14 million, while the number of accounts with balances rose to 15.33 million. During this period, 18 companies conducted public offerings, raising a total of 43.87 billion lira. The number of investors participating in public offerings was recorded as 6,112,044.

Investment Funds and Government Debt Instruments

The portfolio value of investment funds was determined to be 8.52 trillion lira, while the number of investors in this category reached 5.72 million. The portfolio value of Government Domestic Borrowing Instruments was 2.3 trillion lira. Additionally, the nominal value of the debt instruments issued by a total of 980 companies was recorded as 1 trillion 43 billion lira.

Crowdfunding and Real Estate Certificates

In the crowdfunding system, the number of investors reached 46,003, while the issuance of real estate certificates started at 18.95 billion lira and declined to 16.39 billion lira in December. A total of 1.16 billion lira was raised through Crowdfunding in January, and this figure reached 1.45 billion lira in December.
