Microsoft and Nvidia Make Major Investment in AI Initiative

American tech giants Microsoft and Nvidia have made a significant move in the field of artificial intelligence by committing a total of 15 billion dollars to Anthropic PBC. With this investment, Microsoft will contribute 10 billion dollars, while Nvidia will add 5 billion dollars.

Strategic Partnership and Cloud Services

The announcement of the investment was made jointly by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. This strategic collaboration further connects Anthropic with its largest supporters, making it closer to its competitor OpenAI.

As part of the agreement, Anthropic will purchase 30 billion dollars worth of computing capacity from Microsoft's Azure cloud services and will also have the opportunity to lease additional capacity in the sector.

“We Will Become Each Other's Customers”

Satya Nadella stated in a release, "We will increasingly become each other's customers. We will use Anthropic's models, and they will use our infrastructure, and we will go to market together." Nadella noted that this collaboration will progress in alignment with their partnership with OpenAI.

Anthropic's Growth and Market Value

Founded in 2021 by former employees of OpenAI, Anthropic announced in September that it raised 13 billion dollars at a valuation of 183 billion dollars and reached 300,000 corporate customers. Moreover, following a deal with Google, it anticipates a significant increase in computing capacity, with the total value of the agreement said to be in the tens of billions of dollars.

Following current agreements, Anthropic's market value has risen to 350 billion dollars.
